US charge d’ affaires in Pakistan Angela praised Shahbaz Sharif's previous services as Chief Minister of Punjab.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz received the Angela Aggeler, Consul General William McConnell, Public Affairs Officer.
Both dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interest and the political situation in the region.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that Pak-US relations have always been very important.
Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, Pervez Rashid, Maryam Aurangzeb, Khurram Dastgir Khan were also present on the occasion.

Later in the day, U.S. Chargé d’affaires a.i. Angela P. Aggeler visited the Wazir Khan Mosque and Chowk.
The U.S. Mission to Pakistan has donated approximately Rs 239 million toward the restoration of Wazir Khan Mosque and the surrounding buildings.
