Iran Air announced to begin flight operations to Pakistan, introducing a new direct route between Mashhad and Lahore with effect from October 29, 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The airline will operate a weekly flight on this route. The initiative aims to enhance connectivity between Iran and Pakistan, facilitating travel for both pilgrims and business travelers.
Last month, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam announced the launch of a direct flight between Tehran and Islamabad, marking a significant milestone in bilateral air transportation cooperation.
He noted that the agreement was finalized with the Government of Pakistan following the recent visit of Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezhakian.
“With the valued support and follow-up of stakeholders from both sides, a comprehensive agreement has been successfully reached in the field of air transportation,” the envoy added.
