Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif meets with Speaker of Grand National Assembly of Turkiye, Prof Dr. Numan Kurtulmus, and Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Ghafarova, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif welcomed the parliamentary delegations of Turkey and Azerbaijan and thanked their leadership for supporting Pakistan's stance on the Kashmir issue.
CM Maryam paid tribute to the leadership of Turkey and Azerbaijan for their unconditional support to Pakistan during the recent Indian aggression.
During the meeting, bilateral cooperation was discussed in various sectors including education, health and IT.
She told the delegation that Punjab government conducted the largest rescue, relief and evacuation operation in history during the worst floods in history.
CM said her government set a record by building 90,000 houses in a few months besides developing Punjab's agriculture on new lines through agricultural mechanisation.
She said that more than 1,000 tourist sites and corridors are being introduced in Punjab and religious, environmental and wildlife tourism are being introduced in Punjab for the first time as well.
CM Maryam also praised Tayyip Erdogan's KPI model for good governance, which is also introduced in Punjab and appreciated Turkish institution Maarif, which is performing valuable services in Pakistan.
The participants of the delegations from Turkey and Azerbaijan appreciated the innovative changes in the development, especially education and health sectors in Punjab. They also said that they stand with Pakistan and are ready for cooperation in every sector, including education.
Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmus expressed gratitude to CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the warm welcome and hospitality. He said that Punjab especially Lahore is a beautiful city.
