Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali, Chief of the Indonesian Navy, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday, the military’s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.
They expressed satisfaction over existing military-to-military relations between Pakistan and Indonesia and reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen cooperation, particularly in professional training, defence collaboration and joint exercises.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its longstanding and brotherly relations with Indonesia, especially in the defence and security domains.
Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their contributions to regional peace and stability.
