The leaders of opposition parties lashed out at the government for ‘violating the rules in the National Assembly.
“Today's session was critical. The government members left the meeting soon after Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari took oath as a member of the national assembly (MNA),” PTI leader Barrister Gohar told the media.
He was flanked by Gohar Ayub and PkMAP leader Muhammad Khan Achakzai.
The PTI alleged that the Sakrand police arrested its candidate Ghulam Mustafa Rind.
The NA session was put off due to the lack of quorum and the agenda could not be completed, Gohar said
He said: “The government violated the rules. We want to take up national and legal issues in the session. We allied with opposition parties. Historic rallies were held in Balochistan.”
He added: “The judges have written a letter regarding the imprisonment of our workers and the founder of Tehreek-e-Insaf. It was to be discussed in the session.
“Thousands of people are sitting on a dharna at Chaman. The government recreated the April 1 scene.
“The government does not want the judiciary to be independent. “The government never walked out but history was made.
“The Election Commission did not give us a level playing field before the election. In Parliament too we are not allowed to speak.
