Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq chaired a budget review meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell on Friday, receiving a detailed briefing on the cell’s performance, objectives, and financial plans.
The session also included an update on the budget and performance of the Cultural Academy. The prime minister expressed satisfaction over the Liberation Cell’s active role, terming its scope of work “commendable,” and granted immediate approval for the budgets of both the Liberation Cell and the Cultural Academy.
Emphasising the importance of aligning activities with the demands of the present era, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq directed that future priorities be clearly defined. “The Kashmir freedom movement’s basis must be well understood,” he said, stressing that the struggle for the Kashmir issue remains the “top priority of the base camp.”
He further urged steps to achieve financial targets and institutional goals, noting that “collective interest, not personal gain, is dear.”
The prime minister also instructed the activation of the Cultural Academy, improvement of the administrative structure, and rationalisation of operations to ensure efficiency.
