Bureau of Statistics has released a weekly report on inflation, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. According to the report, a 0.31 percent increase was recorded in the weekly inflation and the overall inflation rate reached 2.21 percent.
According to the Bureau of Statistics report, 17 items got expensive while 9 items got cheaper in a week. In the current week, tomato prices increased by 12.6 percent, chicken prices increased by 4.68 percent and egg prices increased by 2.1 percent and during this gur and daal mash prices also increased.
The report showed that the prices of onions, garlic and flour increased by 1.98, 1.6 and 1.4 percent, respectively. The prices of bananas and potatoes have decreased by 2.5 and 1.65 percent, respectively. The prices of 25 items remain the same this week, according to the report.
