Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia Lango has congratulated the people of Balochistan for celebrating country’s 80th independence-day in a befitting manner despite terror threats, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Addressing a press conference along with Provincial Advisor on Interior Affairs Baber Yousafzai, Zia Lango lauded the sacrifices of security forces for foiling the designs of terrorists in Balochistan.
Mir Zia Lango said he had gone to Kalat to attend the freedom-day celebration.
After the end of the function, Balochistan Home Minister added that he moved backed to Quetta on the personal vehicle of SSP Kalat. Zia Lango further added that his vehicle came under fire at Kund Umrani, where terrorists attempted to target their vehicles using a sniper.
Mir Ziaullah Lango said he visited his constituency, Kalat, to celebrate Independence Day and he held several key meetings with various institutions in Kalat and participated in the Independence Day celebrations.
“Our police personnel were wounded in the terrorist firing as Police engaged the terrorists for 20 minutes”, Balochistan Home Minister added. Lango said Police personnel engaged the terrorists effectively. ATF, and police in Mastung took timely action against the terrorists.
He said five personnel were injured in an attack by armed men. Lango said Baloch nation has endured great ordeals. Terrorists were not fighting a war for rights and freedoms. The terrorist leadership is held hostage as terrorists were being backed by India and Afghanistan.
Later Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia Lango visited the injured policemen in a private hospital in Quetta and inquired after their health.
Home Minister lauded their bravery and prayed for the speedy recovery. He said security forces were fighting against terrorists on frontline.
