In recognition of his valuable services in the field of education as well as medicine, the government of Pakistan has nominated renowned educationist and physician Professor Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal for ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Gondal is ranked among few eminent personalities of the field of medicine who have won laurels for Pakistan.
Previously, he has served as a vice-chancellor of King Edward Medical University and Fatima Jinnah Medical University.
Besides that, he has also been the president of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
Hitherto, the government had conferred upon him Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and Pride of Performance.
His competence and expertise in the field of medicine can be gauged from the fact that apart from remaining the College of Physicians and Surgeons president, he has also obtained fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, Royal College of Surgeons USA and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow.
Besides that, his other distinction is that he has done PhD in medical education. This shows his appetite for knowledge.
Acknowledging his services at the international level, the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh has conferred upon him ‘Presidential Award’.
Commenting on his nomination for ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’, Gondal has said that he is grateful to the Almighty Allah for that. “This is all due to my parents’ and friends’ prayers and the guidance provided by my teachers.”
He has emphasized that although these awards are the Almighty Allah’s blessing on him, still the real success is that of emancipation in the life hereafter.
