The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a notification that the crescent of Jumadi-us-Sani 1445 Hijri has been sighted in various parts of Pakistan, including Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, and other areas. The first day of the month will be on Friday, December 15.
The Martyrdom Day of Hazrat Bibi Fatima (AS) will take place on Sunday, 3rd Jumadi-us-Sani.
The notification was issued after the meeting of the Central Sighting of Hilal Committee, which was attended by DG Ministry of Religious Affairs Syed Mushahid Hussain Khalid, representatives of the Meteorological Department, SPARCO, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Chairman of Zonal Sighting of Hilal Committee. The Chairman also joined the meeting from Madinah Al Manura and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the country and the Muslim Ummah.
Jumadi-us-Sani is the fifth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and is considered a sacred month. It is also the birth month of Imam Jafar Sadiq, the sixth Imam of Shia Muslims.
