A court in Lahore on Monday again directed the Barki police to submit record in a case filed against DSP Usman Haider for murdering his wife and daughter on December 20, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Additional Sessions Judge Rana Muhammad Ishfaq heard the bail petition filed by DSP Usman.
Khawaja Wasim Advocate had filed the petition on behalf of the DSP on December 12. Meanwhile, in an important development in an investigation in the case, it has been revealed that the DSP murdered his wife and daughter himself without the support of any other individual. The investigators have said that no proof has been found of the involvement of any other person in the crime.
On the other hand, sources in the police told the 24News TV channel that the DSP’s daughter’s body was buried without registration of an FIR. This is despite the fact that the registration of an FIR against unidentified persons under section 302 is necessary if a tortured body is found.
Similarly, sources elaborated, the woman’s body was also buried without the registration of a case.
On September 25, the DSP took his wife and daughter for a dinner at a restaurant near the airport. Later, at 11:00 PM, the police official killed his wife and daughter in an official vehicle at Ring Road.
For murder, he used 9mm pistol. Later, he dumped his wife’s body at Sheikhupura while that of his daughter at Kahna. Police, after taking the DSP into custody, also conducted his DNA test.
Meanwhile, DSP Usman Haider was produced before judicial magistrate Ali Akbar in Cantt area of Lahore for physical remand of the accused who had killed his wife and daughter.
Barki Police station officials demanded four-day physical remand of the accused but the court approved three day remand.
