Famous Argentine footballer Lionel Messi’s GOAT India Tour 2025 continues to create unforgettable moments, not just for fans but also for Bollywood’s youngest star kids.
During his Mumbai stop, the Argentine football icon met the children of several celebrities, turning the visit into a heartwarming and, at times, hilarious affair.
At Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, Shahid Kapoor arrived with his daughter Misha and son Zain for a special meet-and-greet with Messi.
While Shahid kept a low profile, it was his children who stole the spotlight as they posed confidently with the football legend.
Later, Shahid’s wife Mira Rajput shared pictures from the interaction on Instagram Stories and cheekily captioned them, “Now you are a GOAT dad,” perfectly summing up the excitement surrounding the moment.
Shilpa Shetty was also present at the stadium with her son Viaan.
The mother-son duo were seen leaving the venue all smiles after meeting Messi. Sharing her reaction with the media, Shilpa said, “It was very nice. Iska toh dream poora ho gaya (His dream has been fulfilled),” underlining just how special the experience was for her son.
Adding to the celebrity-filled meet-up were Kareena Kapoor Khan and her sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. While the family posed for pictures with Messi, it was little Jeh who unexpectedly became the star of the moment.

Once the photo session ended, Kareena and Taimur stepped aside, but Jeh had no intention of leaving Messi’s side. The youngest Khan walked right back to the footballer and stood next to him, prompting Kareena to gently pull him away, creating a moment that quickly went viral.
Earlier, Kareena had shared a picture on Instagram showing herself holding her sons’ hands as they headed for the meet-and-greet. For the occasion, she wore a khaki one-piece outfit, while Taimur and Jeh sported football jerseys, Taimur’s bearing Messi’s name and Jeh’s reading “Argentina.”
Kareena has previously spoken about her sons’ fascination with sports stars, revealing on a podcast with Soha Ali Khan that Taimur is far more interested in athletes than film personalities.
She recalled him asking, “Are you friends with Rohit Sharma? With Virat Kohli? Can you message him and ask for his bat? Do you have Lionel Messi’s contact?”, a curiosity that now seems perfectly justified after meeting his football hero.
Messi’s Mumbai visit follows earlier stops in Kolkata and Hyderabad.
