Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has issued a clarification rejecting recent media reports that claimed medicines at the hospital were damaged, causing losses worth millions of rupees. Hospital authorities have termed these reports inaccurate and misleading.
According to the hospital administration, the incident in question occurred when a sewer worker accidentally damaged a P-trap while cleaning a washroom on the ground floor. As a result, water accumulated briefly in the basement area. The situation was promptly identified and immediately rectified by the concerned staff.
The administration emphasized that no medicines were damaged during the incident and that all medical stock at Lahore General Hospital remained completely safe and secure. Officials confirmed that no financial loss was incurred.
In response to the incident, the Director of Emergency, AMS Operations, and AMS Works have been directed to submit their written reports. These reports will be forwarded to the Secretary of Specialized Health Care for review and any further necessary action.
The hospital reiterated that all medicines are fully safe and that patient care was never compromised. The prompt response by the administration ensured that both medical services and stock security remained unaffected.
