Love marriage in Larkana lands a young boy in hot water as he has been in prison for the last eight months on the charge of ‘kidnapping’ a girl with whom he claims he has tied the knot, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The boy named Izhar Mehdi Magsi who is 1st-year student released his video from Larkana Central Jail on Tuesday in which he proclaimed his innocence and beseeched the authorities to help him in this matter. The girl too reciprocated and released her video validating Izhar’s statement.
Izhar Magsi is 1st-year student of Pilot Higher Secondary School, Larkana. He contracted love marriage with Kanwal Klhoro. But the parents of the girl registered a kidnap case against the boy. When both boy and girl were brought before the court, the girl refused to recognize him saying he kidnapped her.
On Kanwal’s statement, the court declared Izhar guilty and he was sent to Central Jail.
He has been languishing in the jail for the last eight months. But today he released a video message in which he claimed that he was innocent and he actually wed the girl, who gave false statement in the court under the pressure of her family. He said neither he, his father nor his uncle were involved in kidnapping Kanwal.
He appealed to the human rights organizations to help him and get him out of the jail.
On the other hand, Kanwal also released video message in which she confessed that she gave a false statement against Izhar in the court on the pressure of her parents. She said that they contracted love marriage and she was not kidnapped.
