The Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP) organized the APSUP Olympiad 2026, with the grand finale of the National Inter-University Sports Championship held at Fortress Stadium in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
A vibrant march past by students was also held at the historic venue.
APSUP Chairman Chaudhry Abdul Rehman was the chief guest on the occasion, while Punjab Group Chairman Mian Aamir Mahmood and Executive Director Sohail Afzal attended the ceremony.
Students representing Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan showcased their regional cultures.
Finals in basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, and badminton were played, while futsal competitions for female students are also part of the Olympiad.
Teams qualifying from regional rounds held in Multan, Karachi, and Lahore participated in the finals.
The mega event has been organized in collaboration with the University of Central Punjab, University of Faisalabad, University of Lahore, Superior University, and University of Sialkot.
The APSUP Olympiad aims to promote sportsmanship, leadership skills, and healthy activities among students.
Renowned singers Ali Zafar and Hadiqa Kiani also showed outstanding performances at the event.
