Medical examination of PTI founder and former Pirme Minister Imran Khan has been completed and medical team comprising five senior doctors has left Adiala Jail Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Eye examination, blood sampling, blood pressure and other tests were conducted by the team. The five-member team of doctors examined PTI founder's eyes. The medical team's report is likely to be prepared soon. The government claimed that on the occasion, not a single PTI leader reached the jail despite invitation.
Meanwhile, PTI has rejected the medical examination of Imran Khan without his family members.
In a press statement, PTI termed Imran Khan’s medical examination without family and personal doctors, as malicious. PTI strongly rejected the medical examination. Opposition party said that the government wanted to hide Opposition’s concerns regarding Imran khan’s health.
PTI said that Imran Khan family was denied basic human as well as legal right which was kept in darkness about the checkup. The party said that the demand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Imran Khan's family has been very clear from the beginning that Imran Khan should be given immediate access to his personal doctors and be allowed to meet the family without delay, and this demand remains with all its intensity even today.
PTI said that undue delays, ambiguity and forced decisions in the case of a former Prime Minister, whose eyesight is seriously at risk, are unacceptable.
Earlier, the preliminary report on former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan’s health and treatment being provided to him at Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi has been sent to the Punjab Home Department, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Sources told the 24News TV channel that a complete chart of the former prime minister’s blood pressure, pulse, temperature and sugar was included in the report.
Besides that, the report also contained information about the PTI founder’s eye disease, sources said, adding that reports compiled by Imran’s consultants and detail of the medical staff have also been sent to the department.
It was informed that on-duty doctors checked the former PM’s vital signs three times in a day and its record was also kept. On the other hand, security was further tightened outside Adiala Jail on Sunday as there were reports of an ambulance entering the jail through gate number 5.
Meanwhile, according to inside story of Opposition’s meeting at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, Aleema Khan told party leaders that no one will attend Imran Khan's medical check-up and she refused to accept the government's offer of doctors and senior PTI leadership to attend.
Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) were instructed to go back, mobilize more people, but keep the protest within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Raja Nasir deliberately confined themselves inside the parliament, while the leadership was to be present outside and mobilize the workers.
Iqbal Afridi was instructed to use foul language and provocative actions, in response to which he confined himself to the parliamentary lodges, as if he did not want to protest or implement party instructions.
PTI leadership has been eroded by the loud and derogatory trolls sitting outside, while the public is facing difficulties due to road closures. PTI will have to rethink its strategy.
The party should take legal action against those elements who are spreading false news on behalf of the government regarding Imran Khan's health (for example, the claim that his eyesight has been permanently lost), as stated by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Barrister Gohar should make independent decisions and not be subject to anyone's veto. If the trolls associated with PTI are not kept in check, Sohail Afridi will soon become Ali Amin Khan Gandapur 2.
