An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Monday reserved its verdict on the police’s plea, seeking the arrest of Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid in the cases of May 9 violence, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Earlier, Abdur Razzaq Advocate, counsel for Rasheed, and the government’s lawyer concluded their arguments in the case.
The court will pronounce the verdict at 1:30 PM tomorrow.
Later, talking to the media outside the court, AML chief said that 19 cases had been registered against him.
He expressed the hope that the people of his constituency by voting for him in the elections would take revenge on the last coalition government, which was responsible for price hike and unemployment in the country.
Rasheed said neither did he utter a word against anybody in the past nor would he do so in the future. “I have left my case to The Almighty Allah.”
