Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has said that the government and private schools in Punjab will reopen from January 19, and the winter vacations will not be extended further, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a statement issued in Lahore on Thursday, Education Minister Sikandar Hayat said that the winter vacations started on December 20.
A total of 30 winter vacations were given to children in educational institutions and so far, children have spent 27 out of 30 vacations.
Earlier, in view of the severe cold, the winter vacations in schools were extended by one week.
In this regard, students and parents of schools were in a state of confusion as to whether schools will open on January 19 or not.
A clear statement from the Punjab Education Minister has come out in this regard.
