The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday ordered the federal government to form a commission to investigate the blasphemy cases within 30 days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the hearing of the case, the additional director Cyber Crimes Investigation Agency told the court that Komal Ismael’s identity card had been blocked.
Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan remarked that the petition was filed on September 14 and in November Komal disappeared.
The additional director CCIA said that Komal had not gone abroad. “She is here in Pakistan.”
The judge asked whether Komal’s name had been put on the ECL.
The additional director replied in affirmative and said that efforts were being made to trace her.
Justice Ishaq said Komal’s own life might have been in danger.
Speaking on the occasion, counsel for cellular companies Hadi Ali Chatha said the court had sought from cellular network companies the WhatsApp data of three numbers.
The judge said if the ISI could get the data, then the court could ask it to do this job. “This matter is related to the lives of people, therefore, the services of the agency could be hired,” the judge added.
