The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday threw out the petition filed by the PTI against a sessions court decision in which it had rejected the plea, seeking damages from Akbar S. Babar, a PTI critic, due to the non-perusal of the case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the PTI petition. No lawyer from the PTI appeared in the court.
The PTI had filed Rs5 billion defamation suit against Babar for maligning the party.
Later, the additional district and sessions judge had thrown out the suit.
