A foreign woman who brought cocaine capsules hidden in her stomach has been sentenced to seven years in prison, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The anti-narcotics court has also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the accused from Uganda.
According to prosecutor Abdul Hanan, the accused had arrived at Jinnah International Airport Karachi in January.
The Anti-Narcotics Force took action and arrested the accused at the airport. The accused confessed to the crime before the court.
The court wrote in the verdict that due to the confession of the accused, she was given a reduced sentence. The accused has no previous criminal record.
A case was registered against the accused at ANF Clifton.
