More than 325,000 people have registered through Pakistan’s digital Hajj system for pilgrimages scheduled between 2027 and 2030, according to figures released by the National Information Technology Board.
The registration process allows prospective pilgrims to apply from home through the official Hajj portal or the Pak Hajj mobile application.
Of the total registrations, about 283,000 were completed through the online portal, while another 43,000 people registered through the mobile app.
The figures show that 235,000 applicants selected the government Hajj scheme, while about 90,000 opted for private Hajj arrangements.
Among those registered, 191,000 are men and 134,000 are women.
Officials said the online registration process would continue until further notice.
The National Information Technology Board has also developed a system for the online collection of Hajj dues as part of the wider digitisation of the pilgrimage process.
Details of Hajj packages, payment schedules and the procedure for depositing dues will be announced later.
The digital system is intended to simplify registration, reduce the need for in-person visits and provide prospective pilgrims with a central platform for submitting their information and selecting a Hajj scheme.
