Apple is reportedly planning to revive a glass-focused design for its expected iPhone 20, with new leaks suggesting the company has begun preparing production facilities for the device ahead of its anticipated launch in 2027.
According to Chinese tech leaker Fixed Focus Digital, a production site earmarked for the iPhone 20 has undergone renovations and is expected to begin installing manufacturing equipment for component production in the near future.
The report claims that Biel Crystal is likely to serve as the primary supplier for the project, while BYD and Lens Technology are also expected to play key roles in manufacturing components for the device.
Instead of installing entirely new production equipment, Apple may reportedly reuse some of the machinery previously used to manufacture earlier iPhone Pro models featuring glass backs, potentially reducing production costs and streamlining the manufacturing process.
The suppliers are said to be responsible mainly for producing the iPhone's external glass and body components.
Earlier reports have also linked Samsung Display and LG Display to the development of the iPhone 20's anticipated curved display technology.
Apple has not officially announced any details regarding the iPhone 20 or its design. As a result, all information surrounding the device remains based on industry leaks and unverified reports and should be treated as speculation until confirmed by the company.
