Govt notifies fresh transfers and postings across ministries

The federal government on Wednesday announced a series of transfers, postings, deputation extensions and additional charge postings in various ministries, divisions and public sector institutions.

According to notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Waqar Ahmed Chauhan, a Grade-21 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan who was awaiting posting in the Establishment Division, has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Interior Division on a two-year deputation.

In another notification, Muhammad Umar, a Grade-19 officer of the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service serving as Director Commercial Audit and Evaluation (North), Islamabad, has been transferred to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) as Director on deputation.

The Establishment Division also transferred Section Officer Ahmed Ali from the Commerce Division to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

Under the Wedlock Policy, the deputation of Shumaila Noreen, a BS-17 Secondary School Teacher in the Federal Directorate of Education, has been extended for two years in the Federal Government Educational Institutions (Cantt/Garrison) setup with effect from January 15, 2026.

In Balochistan, Muhammad Arif, Assistant Director (BS-17) in the Provincial Ombudsman's Office, has been posted on a three-year deputation as Assistant Director in the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Balochistan Region.

The government has also posted Lieutenant Commander Muhammad Hussain as Education Officer (BS-17) on a two-year secondment basis.

Meanwhile, Akhlaq Ahmed Dogar, a Grade-18 officer of the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service, has been repatriated from the Government of Punjab to his parent department, the Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan.

According to another notification, Muhammad Umar Javed, who was serving as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD), has been appointed as Section Officer in the Establishment Division.

The Establishment Division has also approved overseas leave with full pay for Hamid Yaqoob Sheikh, a Grade-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service and Secretary of the Petroleum Division, for a visit to Saudi Arabia from July 14 to 15, 2026.

In the health sector, the deputation of Prof Dr Misbah Anjum, Associate Professor (BS-20) from the National Institute of Child Health, Karachi, at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad, has been extended for another year under the Wedlock Policy. The extension will take effect from July 27, 2026.

The Establishment Division said all the appointments, transfers and deputation-related orders have been issued through separate official notifications.
