Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Sunday night and returned to Adiala Jail after receiving eye treatment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences management also issued a detailed statement in this regard. According to PIMS administration, the follow-up check of the PTI founder’s eye treatment was completed.
The PTI’s founder was administered fifth intravitreal injection into his eye. Later, he was declared medically “fit”.
The optical coherence tomography report indicates clear clinical improvement. The PIMS management said that before administering the fifth injection, all precautionary measures were adopted.
The medical procedure of PTI’s founder was completed through daycare surgery. After successful medical treatment, the PTI founder was shifted back to Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi.
Doctors also advised further monitoring and future follow-up treatment. The statement said that all the treatment stages were completed without any complications.
