Following the surge in the price of Honda motorcycles, the local firms raised the prices of two-wheelers by Rs3,000.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the citizens came down hard on the firms for the increase in the prices of motorcycles.
The price of a 70cc motorcycle increased by Rs3,000 and the new price is Rs65,000.
The move has been dubbed as a blow to the industry as the buying capacity of these bikes has already been affected.
The lower and middle classes have already been finding it difficult to make both ends meet in wake of rampant inflation. Such buyers may go for having used bikes instead of purchasing the costly transport.
