Giving a strong reaction to India’s statement, Pakistan has made it clear that its operation against sanctuaries of terrorists in Afghanistan is justified, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Tahir Andrabi has said that Pakistan will take whatever step it deems appropriate for the protection and defence of its citizens, and that its stance is in line with the international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
The spokesman has said that the statement given by India is ridiculous and hypocritical. “The fact is that India has been patronizing terrorists operating from the Afghan soil against Pakistan,” he has added.
"The support given by India to terrorist outfits such as Fitna al-Khawarij" (FAK) and Fitna al-Hindustan is no secret,” Andrabi has said, adding that India’s dismay at the decimation of infrastructure of terrorists in Afghanistan is understandable.”
He has gone on to say that India has been continuously violating human rights and the international law. “Truth of the matter is that India’s occupation of the state of Jammu and Kashmir is a breach of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions, and that it is committing state terrorism in the held territory,” the spokesman has said, adding that inspired by the Hindutva ideology, the Indian government is targeting minorities in a systematic manner.
Andrabi has said that India is fanning Islamophobia and is using water as a weapon. “India is sponsoring terrorism not only in Afghanistan, but in the entire region.”
He has warned India against backing the terrorists operating from inside Afghanistan against Pakistan.
