LHC issues transfers and posting orders of 266 Additional District and Sessions Judges

The Lahore High Court has announced a large-scale transfers and postings of Additional District and Sessions Judges across the province. After the approval of Chief Justice Alia Neelam, a notification has been issued for the transfer of 266 Additional District and Sessions Judges. 

According to the notification, a large number of Additional Sessions Judges transferred and posted in Lahore are also among those transferred, while 58 Additional District and Sessions Judges from different districts have been posted in Lahore. All transferred judges have been directed to report to their new posting by May 19, 2026. 

Among the judges transferred from Lahore, Additional District and Sessions Judge Riaz Afzal has been transferred and posted to Deepalpur, Malik Muhammad Owais to Rahim Yar Khan, Muhammad Ilyas Rehan to Multan, Muhammad Shoaib Adeel to Faisalabad and Asif Hayat to Deepalpur. Similarly, Hafiz Rizwan Aziz has been transferred to Deepalpur, Shahzad Aslam to Faisalabad, Imran Khurshid to Kharian, Sarfaraz Hussain to DG Khan, Muhammad Kashif to Toba Tek Singh while Tariq Maqsood has been transferred to Kallar Kahar. 

According to the notification, Khalil Ahmed Asim has been transferred and posted to Bahawalpur, Abdul Hasnat and Syed Shahzad Muzaffar to Renala Khurd, Miss Saima Asad to Kasur, Saqib Imran Qamar to Faisalabad and Sharafat Saeed Gondal to Hasilpur. 

Judge Muhammad Nasir has been transferred to Taunsa Sharif, Ahmed Iqbal to Bhera, Rashid Tufail Rehan to Shorkot, Aurangzeb Khan to Jhelum, Muhammad Yousuf to Sadiqabad, Naeem Aamir to Toba Tek Singh and Khurram Shahzad to Layyah. 

On the other hand, 58 additional district and sessions judges from different districts have been transferred and posted to Lahore. Among them, Ghulam Mustafa has been transferred and posted to Chishtian, Muhammad Sohail Anjum to Chishtian, Babar Hussain to Bahawalpur, Nusrat Ali Siddiqui Malik to Ahmedpur East, Javed Ashraf to Chakwal and Sheikh Ijaz Pervez has been posted to Lahore from Faisalabad. 

Similarly, Judge Mudassar Hussain has been transferred to Faisalabad, Rai Saqib Farooq to Jaranwala, Nasir Ahmed and Ayesha Rashid Awan to Gujranwala, Hasnain Ahmed to Kharian, Muhammad Saeed to Chunian, Nazir Ahmed to Jahanian, while Javed Iqbal Ranjha and Muhammad Yousuf have been transferred from Mian Channu to Lahore. Similarly, additional sessions judges have been appointed and transferred from other districts. According to sources, these transfers have been made to make judicial administrative affairs more effective and to appoint judges in different districts according to judicial requirements.
