Weekly inflation registers rise of 0.47 percent

The Federal Bureau of Statistics has released a weekly report on inflation in the country which registered a rise of 0.47 percent resultantly the overall annual inflation rate reached 14.52 percent, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

According to data, the prices of 23 essential commodities increased in a week. 9 commodities became cheaper while 19 products remained stable in the recent week.

The tomatoes became 22.13 percent more expensive in a week. The flour became 4.94 percent more expensive and diesel 3.76 percent more expensive.

The petrol prices increased by 3.73 percent last week. Onions became more expensive by 2.98 percent and bananas by 1.93 percent in a week. The potato, fresh milk, yogurt and sugar prices also increased.

The chicken became cheaper by 6.34 percent in a week. The statistics office reported that egg prices fell by 3.83 percent and garlic prices fell by 2.20 percent. LPG and pulses prices also fell in the recent week, the statistics office reported.
