Punjab capital Lahore has been declared as the most polluted city globally as air quality degraded followed by Sahiwal at second, Faisalabad—Manchester of the Pakistan—stood third worst-hit city by pollution all over the world, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Lahore’s AQI recorded at 419 points, Sahiwal at 384 while Faisalabad at stood at 365 as smog and pollution gripped posh area, densely populated areas and city suburbs.
Shadman, Jail Road, Wagah, Shahdara, Raiwind, Thokar, Township, Johar Town, and Mall Road became polluted by smog.
Smog also prevailed in Faisalabad, Jhang Road, Samundari Road, Sheikupura, Jarrawala Road decreased the visibility due to smog.
The TV channel reported that port city Karachi is the 10 most polluted city of Pakistan in the world.
Health experts asked citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and to schedule their visits as per the weather conditions. Health experts also advised citizens to wash hands and face regularly and to wear mask.
Weather department also said that no rains and strong winds expected in the plain areas of the country.
Pertinent to note that AQI measured five major air pollutants including ground-level ozone, particle pollution, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide.
