Lahore High Court Bar Association has announced strike on Monday (Nov 17) against the resignation of Lahore High Court Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza who had expressed dismay over the passage of 27th Constitutional Amendment, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Lahore High Court Bar Association President Asif Niswan in a press statement said that 27th Constitutional Amendment has dvided the judiciary therefore lawyers will completely boycott court proceedings after urgent cases.
Bar President further said that General House meeting of the Bar has also been called to pay tribute to Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza who resigned against the 27th Constitutional Amendment which has divided the judiciary. A meeting of the General House has been called on November 17 at 11:30 am.
