The Punjab government has revised school timings for the winter season effective from October 15 to prevent children and staff from cold weather.
According to a notification issued by the Punjab School Education Department on Monday, the schools in Punjab will remain open from 8:45 am to 2:45 pm from Monday to Thursday while the regular classes will conclude at 12:45 pm on Fridays.
Subsequently, the double-shift schools will remain open from 8:45 am to 12:45 pm from Monday to Thursday and the second shift will start from 1.00 pm to 5:00 pm across the province. On Fridays, classes will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
