Field Marshal and Army Chief General Asim Munir called on President Asif Zardari on Wednesday at President House Islamabad to discuss political and security situation of the county especially tension at Pak-Afghan border, reported 24NewsHDTV channel.
During the meeting, detailed discussion were held on situation and tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Field Marshal briefed President Zardari on Pakistan Army's effective and timely response.
President expresses full confidence in Pakistan Army's capability, courage and preparedness. On the occasion, President appreciated Pakistan Army's professional capabilities in defending the homeland. Zardari made it clear that Pakistan will not compromise on sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He expressed full confidence in the strength, valor, capability and preparedness of Pakistan’s armed forces. He praised their alertness and professionalism in defending the nation’s borders and swiftly repelling cross-border attacks along the Afghan border. The President reiterated that Pakistan will defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.
