A district and sessions judge in Lahore on Monday extended interim bail of Gogi Butt in Amir Balaj murder case till September 23, 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the hearing of the case, Gogi Butt appeared in the court, where, after his attendance, the court extended his interim bail.
Later, the case was transferred to the court of Additional Sessions Judge Syed Najaf Haider Kazmi, as Additional and Session Judge Asad Hafeez was transferred to the Model Town Court.
The court also ordered Gogi Butt to appear again on the next date of hearing i.e. September 23, 2025.
The court also issued notices to the prosecutor by asking them to submit his arguments.
After hearing of the case, Gogi Butt was left the Court amid tight security. It is necessary to mention here that Teefi Butt is already declared a proclaimed offender in this case, while another accused Ahsan Raza, was already killed during a police encounter.
Earlier on September 2, 2025, in a surprising development, a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of Lahore police declared Gogi Butt as “guilty” in Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case.
Prior to this development, a team of the Organized Crime Unit (OCU) of Lahore declared Gogi Butt as innocent in the same case.
Khawaja Aqeel Rashid, alias Gogi Butt was a proclaimed offender in the murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu case for the last two years.
In his statement before the Joint Investigation Team, Gogi Butt rejected all the allegations. The investigation officer (IO) of the case started legal proceedings to cancel the bail granted to Gogi Butt.
The Court extended the interim bail of Gogi Butt in the murder case of Balaj, son of late underworld don Tipu Truckanwala, till September 15, 2025.
