Namaz-e-Janaza of Police constable Muhammad Irfan was held at Police Lines, Qila Gujjar Singh here on Sunday.
A special contingent of Punjab police presented a salute to the martyred.
His funeral prayer was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamiana, DIG Operations Afzal Ahmed Kausar, DIG Investigation Kamran Adil, and others.
Chief Minister recited Fatiha for the soul of the Shaheed.
Mohsin Naqvi, IG Punjab, CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamiana and senior police officers met with the heirs of the martyr.
Expressing condolences to the bereaved family, he paid tribute to the deceased for his services in the police. Chief Minister also assured full care of the family.
On this occasion, the Punjab police chief also directed the concerned officials to complete all legal formalities to give the appropriate benefits from the Punjab Police Department to the bereaved family.

Shaheed Constable Muhammad Irfan was posted at the Sher Shah Post of Chung Police Station.
On April 7, he became injured in a firing attack by some armed assailants. He was undergoing treatment at Jinnah Hospital and succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
Hailing from Kot Radha Krishan, he joined the police force in 2016. He was survived by his parents, wife, and two sons.
