Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi have signed the MoU for running fast train from Lahore to Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Pakistan's first fast train, the journey will be completed in two and a half hours.
Talking on the occasion, Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi said that Railways are being developed on modern lines.
Hanif Abbasi said Maryum Nawaz has taken significant steps in the transport and education sectors.
Along with laying new tracks, the condition of the tracks will also be improved, Hanif Abbasi said.
