The government has decided to close markets, shopping malls, and commercial areas at 8 PM in Islamabad Capital Territory and in this regard, the local administration has issued schedule of the markets closing time.
New SOPs implemented in Islamabad for austerity measures resultantly markets will close at 8 pm. However, some relaxation was granted to businesses including grocery stores, kirana stores and meat shops.
The shopping malls and shops will be closed at 8 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
The medical stores, petrol pumps and dairy shops were exempted from ban. The hotels, restaurants and food outlets will close at 10pm, home delivery to continue.
The grocery, meat, vegetable and bakery shops to remain open till 10pm. The events in wedding halls and marquees to end by 10pm. The events held in private homes will be closed at 10pm.
The gyms, sports clubs and other entertainment centers will close at 8pm. The notification of District Administration Islamabad effective immediately, will remain in effect until further orders.
