Civil judge Asim Hafeez skipped their appearance before the joint investigation team formed in connection with teen torture victim Rizwana, sources said on Tuesday.
The joint investigation team kept waiting for the civil judge throughout the day but to no avail.
In light of the statement of the civil judge's wife, the JIT decided to conduct an inquiry involving the civil judge, the insider said.
The JIT wrote to the Islamabad High Court register for asking the civil judge to appear on August 15.
