Security forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) on the reported presence of terrorists in the general area of Razmak in the North Waziristan District on Tuesday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, during the operation, security forces surrounded the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange, two terrorists were killed.
The report said heavy weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the custody of the killed terrorists who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces as well as extortion and target killing of innocent citizens.
The sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, the report said.
Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
