Three dacoits were gunned down in separate police encounters in Kahna and Chung areas of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Crime Control Department (CCD) sources said that two accused, who were identified as Mazhar and Khalid, were killed in a police encounter which took place in Chung, and another dacoit Shahid Imran was shot dead in Kahna.
The CCD sources further said that all three accused died in the firing by their accomplices.
Later, their companions escaped from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness.
