The weather in various plain areas across the country will remain cold and dry while light rain and snowfall in high mountains in north-west Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
According to the met department, the weather in KP on Saturday is likely to remain cold and partly cloudy in most of the districts. There is a possibility of rain in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Balakot, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Mardan, Swabi, Malakand, Waziristan and Kurram.
Snowfall is expected in the higher mountains of the province.
The weather in Punjab will remain cold and dry in most parts and Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore and Hafizabad are expected to witness light rain. Heavy fog and smog is likely to prevail in Dera Ghazi Khan and its suburbs throughout the day.
In Balochistan, the weather will remain cold and dry in most of the districts and it will remain cold and partly cloudy in the northern districts.
Weather will remain dry in most districts of the Sindh province. There is a possibility of fog and smog throughout the day in Jacobabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki and Padidan.
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, there is a chance of rain and snowfall in the mountains apart from cloudy weather is likely.
