The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) thwarted an attempt by five passengers, including a woman, who were going to Australia on fake Australian visas from Sialkot International Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
These passengers were identified as Mian Faraz, Mohammad Afzal, Amina Afzal, infant Anum Afzal, and Mohammad Hashim, and were travelling through Qatar Airways flight No. QR-627.
All the passengers belonged to Sialkot. During the verification process, all Australian visas were found to be forged.
These passengers failed to produce any online record of visas. During the initial investigation, they told FIA that they obtained these visas from a travel agent, namely Kashif, after paying AED 12 million.
Later, FIA shifted all these passengers to Composite Circle Gujranwala for further proceedings. FIA vowed to continue the crackdown against human smugglers and fake documents.
