A court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of Noor Muqaddam murder case till Monday after listening to the arguments of lawyer for prime accused Zahir Jaffer, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
The lawyer for Zahir Jaffer adopted before the court that the postmortem of the Noor’s dead body was delayed only to make up a false murder story, adding that statements of the plaintiff also contradicted the prosecution.
“When a dead body is found, it is sent to hospital’s emergency then and there,” he said, questioning the motive behind delay in postmortem of the Noor’s body.
“It is alleged that Noor Muqaddam tried to flee and came outside the house, but Zahir Jaffer locked her up. Did anyone notice a weapon in his hand? He might have locked Noor up inside the house to save her from someone,” he noted.
He said police had made up a story and the media spread it.
On next hearing, Akram Qureshi, lawyer for suspects of therapy work, will present his arguments before court.
