At the 135th Annual Convocation of the University of the Punjab held on Saturday, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali honored outstanding students by conferring degrees and medals for exceptional academic achievements.
Among the distinguished awardees, Ms. Aleezae Shabbir Khan stood out by receiving three prestigious Gold Medals for securing the first position in the BS Communication Studies program, from Department of Communication & Media Research.
She was presented with the University Gold Medal, the Hamid Nizami Gold Medal, and the Miskeen Hijazi Gold Medal in recognition of her exemplary performance.
Aleezae Shabbir Khan is the daughter of Dr. Shabbir Ahmad Khan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Director of the Centre for Civility and Integrity Development (CCID) at the university.
Notably, thirty-five years ago, Dr. Shabbir Ahmad Khan himself earned distinction by securing two Gold Medals, the University Gold Medal and the First Ibn-e-Khaldun Medal, in his M.A. Political Science degree.
Continuing the family’s tradition of academic excellence, Dr. Khan’s son, Ameer Hamzah Khan, achieved remarkable results three years ago in the University of Cambridge’s O-Level examinations, earning A+ grades in all ten subjects.
The convocation ceremony was attended by a large gathering of students, faculty members, parents, and distinguished guests, celebrating the academic achievements of the university’s brightest talents.
