After winning the toss, England opted to bat first and posted a competitive 202 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs.
The English top order laid a solid platform with aggressive stroke play, maintaining a brisk scoring rate throughout the innings.
Will Jacks anchored the innings with an unbeaten 53, providing late momentum.
Tom Banton contributed 30 runs, Phil Salt added 28, while Sam Curran chipped in with a valuable 25 to push the total beyond the 200-mark.
For Italy, Grant Stewart and Krishan Kalugamage claimed two wickets apiece, attempting to contain England’s powerful batting lineup.
Chasing a daunting 203-run target, Italy mounted a spirited response and kept the contest alive until the final over.
However, they were bowled out for 178 on the last ball of the match.
Ben Manenti top-scored with a fluent 60, while Grant Stewart struck 45 and Justin Mosca added 43, bringing Italy within striking distance.
Despite their valiant effort, mounting pressure and required run rate proved decisive in the closing stages.
With the victory, England advanced to the Super Eight phase of the tournament, while Italy exited the match with pride after delivering a determined and competitive performance.
