Lahore Banking Court has acquitted PTI founder Imran Khan’s close friends in foreign funding case on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
The Banking Crimes Court acquitted founder PTI's close aides Tariq Shafi, Hamid Zaman and Asad Kakakhel in the foreign funding case. Lahore Banking Crimes Court No. 2 acquitted the accused while delivering the verdict in the case.
Barrister Ali Ashfaq presented arguments on behalf of accused Hamid Zaman, Tariq Shafi and Asad Kakakhel.
The FIA had registered a case against the accused in 2022. The accused were accused of providing foreign funding to the Insaf Trust. The FIA had submitted a challan against the accused. The accused filed acquittal applications.
The Banking Crimes Court acquitted the three accused on the basis of insufficient evidence.
