Caitlyn Jenner has finally spoken out about her daughter Kylie Jenner’s relationship with Hollywood star Timothee Chalamet, and her comments suggest he has more than earned her approval.
The 76-year-old was seen walking alone through LAX airport in Los Angeles when she shared her thoughts on Kylie’s long-running romance with the actor. Caitlyn, who was married to Kris Jenner from 1991 until 2015, revealed that she has spent time with Chalamet and had nothing but praise for him, describing him as a "great kid" and a "phenomenal actor".
She made it clear that her main priority is her daughter’s happiness, saying she simply wants her "daughter to be happy, and she is, and I like that." Caitlyn also stressed that Chalamet has been a positive presence in Kylie’s life, adding that he is "very good to Kylie."
During her airport outing, Caitlyn was dressed casually in a green sweater, faded blue jeans, and sneakers, wearing her highlighted hair down in soft waves as she pushed her suitcase through the terminal.
Caitlyn rose to fame alongside her family on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and later The Kardashians. She also fronted her own series, I Am Cait, which ran for two seasons in 2015 and 2016 following the release of her memoir The Secrets Of My Life.
She shares daughters Kylie, 26, and Kendall Jenner, 30, with Kris. Caitlyn is also mother to Brody Jenner, 42, and Brandon Jenner, 44, with Linda Thompson, as well as Cassandra Marino, 45, and Burt Jenner, 47, from her marriage to Chrystie Scott.
Her comments come amid growing claims that Kylie and Timothee’s relationship has reached a new level. A source recently told Page Six that the couple have effectively been living together in Los Angeles for over a year and behave "like they're basically married already."
The insider added, "They're obsessed with each other and always together," and noted that Chalamet has become closely involved in the lives of Kylie’s children, Stormi, seven, and Aire, three, whom she shares with rapper Travis Scott.
The couple’s bond was on full display at recent awards ceremonies. On Sunday, Chalamet referred to Kylie as his "partner" during his Golden Globes acceptance speech, saying, "To my parents and partner, I love you. Thank you so much," as Kylie looked on adoringly from the audience.
He echoed those sentiments at this year’s Critics Choice Awards, where he won Best Actor. After thanking his team, fellow nominees, and his Marty Supreme director Josh Safdie, he turned his attention to Kylie, saying, "And lastly, I'll just say, thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn't do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much."
Cameras caught Kylie mouthing back, "I love you, too," moments after the couple shared a kiss when his win was announced.
The public display of affection came as a surprise to many, arriving just two months after reports suggested the pair had split following an on-off dynamic throughout their three-year relationship.
Meanwhile, Kylie has been focused on promoting her latest fragrance, COSMIC INTENSE. The beauty mogul recently shared new images on Instagram, posing in a low-cut red latex mini dress with black pumps while reclining on a sofa. In another look, she modeled a red latex catsuit reminiscent of Britney Spears’ iconic outfit from the 2000 Oops.. I Did It Again music video.
Alongside the photos, Kylie wrote, "Your Valentine in a bottle," before adding, "My new fragrance Cosmic Intense is a deeper, more seductive take on Cosmic.. rich, warm, and addictive. launching Jan 21 on kyliecosmetics.com just in time for Valentine’s Day."
The post drew support from Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey Bieber and Kylie’s mother Kris Jenner, both of whom liked the images.
