Rescue 1122 teams came to the rescue of a marriage party stranded in raging waters of River Sutlej in Arifwala on Sunday when they safely escorted them to the river’s bank in a boat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
All 60 Baraatis heaved a sigh of relief when they reached the other side of the river, and praised the Rescue 1122 personnel for their effort.
It is worth-mentioning here that River Sutlej, River Ravi and River Chenab are in high flood these days on account of heavy monsoon showers in different areas of Punjab as well as in adjoining parts of India.
