A woman was killed in the name of ‘honour’ in Punjab capital Lahore, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
The police stated the stepbrother of 24-year-old Tansat Bibi and her cousin shot her dead in the Sabzazar area and fled.
On June 21, Tasnat married a person against her family’s consent, the police said.
The lawmen added the accused deemed the marriage brought shame to their family, making them cut short her life
The body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem, the cops said, adding that a hunt for the fugitives is on.
