Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Omar Ayub Khan said on Wednesday that despite the fact that his non-bailable arrest warrants had been issued in the November 26 protest case, he still was loyal to the former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan and would continue to stand by him in the future as well, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking to the media at Haripur, Omar said he was hopeful that the present reign of terror would soon come to an end. “We have seen such ups and downs in the past also. Such periods come and then become part of history,” he added.
The opposition leader further said that on Imran’s instructions, the party organised a convention in Lahore, which remained successful. “Our movement continues. The former prime minister has congratulated us on the successful holding of the convention,” he said, and added that he (Imran) had also urged the party leadership to forget differences and work for the success of the movement.
“Our movement is gaining momentum. And insha Allah, PTI will emerge victorious,” he said.
He said there was no bar on people dreaming of toppling the PTI government in KP. “But let me tell you that there will be no change of command in the province.”
